    Hi, I'm Laura! 👋

    I'm the co-founder of 11+ Superstars Tutoring and Exams, which I run alongside my husband, Rob. We're passionate about helping children grow in confidence, enjoy learning and achieve their full potential.

    I'm a qualified primary teacher with over 12 years of experience across the primary age range, from Early Years through to Year 6.

    Alongside running 11+ Superstars, I hold a senior leadership role within a National English Hub, where I lead school improvement work across Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. I work strategically with headteachers, senior leaders and teaching teams to raise standards in early reading, phonics and literacy, helping schools embed evidence-informed practice that gives every child the strongest possible start.

    I also have a personal connection to the 11+ journey, having attended Torquay Girls' Grammar School myself. I know first-hand the opportunities a grammar school education can provide for children who are academically curious, enjoy being challenged and thrive alongside like-minded peers.

    At 11+ Superstars, our aim is about far more than passing an exam. We help children build confidence, resilience and the skills they need to succeed, while supporting families every step of the way.

    Hi, I'm Rob! 👋

    I'm a senior teacher and school improvement lead at a local primary school, with experience teaching children from Early Years through to Year 6.

    I love helping children discover that learning can be both challenging and enjoyable. In my classroom, I strive to create an environment where children build on what they already know, develop confidence in their abilities and, most importantly, have plenty of fun along the way.

    One of my favourite parts of 11+ Superstars is delivering our Easter and Summer Masterclasses. It's incredibly rewarding to see our Superstars putting into practice everything they've learned throughout the year, tackling new challenges with confidence and working collaboratively with their peers. Watching those moments where everything "clicks" and seeing children realise just how much they've achieved is what makes tutoring so special.

    I look forward to welcoming your child to 11+ Superstars and helping them enjoy every step of their 11+ journey!

    Meet Mel! ⭐

    Mel is the newest member of our 11+ Superstars Tutoring Team, and we're delighted to have her on board!

    An experienced Key Stage 2 teacher, Mel is passionate about helping children build confidence and achieve their potential as they prepare for the 11+. She brings a wealth of experience supporting children across a range of abilities, including those working below the expected standard and children with SEND, enabling her to tailor learning to meet every child's individual needs.

    Mel's journey with 11+ Superstars began as a parent. After seeing first-hand how her own daughters flourished through our tuition, she wanted to become part of our team and help other families experience the same supportive, confidence-building approach.

    Her enthusiasm, kindness and dedication to helping children succeed make her a wonderful addition to the 11+ Superstars family, and we know our Superstars will love learning with her!

    Mel offers tutoring in your own home for families living in Torquay, Paignton and Kingskerswell.
